What goes into a cabinet wrapping quote, and how to compare like-for-like scopes.
There is no confirmed standard EnvisionWraps price for every kitchen. A useful quotation identifies the film, measured surfaces, preparation and exclusions. Compare the same scope before comparing the total; a door-front-only price is not equivalent to a complete visible-cabinet refresh.
Start with the surfaces, not the room size
A small kitchen can have many doors, drawers and exposed panels. A larger kitchen may have a simpler layout. Count the surfaces you want covered and photograph the complete cabinet runs, including end panels.
Preparation changes the scope
Grease, loose finishes, lifting edges and previous repairs affect preparation. Water-damaged or swollen boards may need replacement before any decorative finish is considered. Ask whether preparation and repairs are included or priced separately.
Compare the same finish and coverage
Check whether a quote covers door fronts, edges, frames, side panels and any internal returns. Confirm the manufacturer and film code. A quote for a basic solid colour may not match the cost of a patterned finish with more cutting or matching.
Ask for an itemised estimate
Send full photos, close-ups, approximate measurements and your desired installation date. Ask for material, preparation, installation, access costs, payment terms and warranty information. Without confirmed scope, a fixed online price can be misleading.
A scope example you can use—not a price quotation
Imagine a kitchen with 12 door fronts, four drawer fronts and two exposed end panels. That description is a starting brief, not a completed EnvisionWraps job or a priced package. The next step is to measure each surface, identify edges and returns, and inspect the existing boards.
- Option A: door and drawer faces only; identify whether edges are included.
- Option B: the same faces plus frames and exposed end panels.
- Separate items: repairs, handle changes, worktops and backsplashes requiring their own assessment.
Ask each supplier to price both options using the same finish code. Request a breakdown of material, preparation, installation, access and applicable taxes. Check validity, payment stages and what happens if concealed damage is found. Do not assume a low headline figure includes every visible surface.
